Advertise with The Daily Colonial

Advertising on dailycolonial.com is different than other web advertising in that you buy the space and it is yours for that time - no rotation, no switching banners. Just you.

Advertising space is sold on a daily basis. An advertiser can buy any of our packages (listed below) for as many or as few days as they want. Advertisers are also welcome to buy multiple packages at once (for example, one inside package and one front page package) to increase impact.

Rates are divided into two categories: on-campus rates for university departments and student organizations registered with SAC, and off-campus rates for everyone else. If you are interested in buying advertising space, please email gm@dailycolonial.com with the package(s) you would like to purchase, and the dates you would like to reserve, so the business department can draw up a contract. You will be billed only after the advertisment runs.

Package A - Sponsorship Buttons

Sponsor a day of The Daily Colonial with ads at the top of every page on the site. Includes a 120x90 pixel box at the top left of the front page, and an 88x31 pixel button in the top search bar of every inside page.
$8.00 on-campus, $17.00 off-campus

Package B - Front Page Sidebar Box

Get one of the most visible spots on the site, right below the popular blog and special features sections. Includes a 300x250 pixel box on the right side of the front page.
$10.00 on-campus, $17.00 off-campus

Package C - Front Page Leaderboard

Use this large space as a canvas to get a clear message across right after readers are done with the day's headlines. Includes a 720x84 banner at the bottom of the front page.
$5.00 on-campus, $10.00 off-campus

Package D - Inside Minitower

Be a part of the essential navigation controls on every inside page. Includes a 120x240 pixel minitower in the left navigation bar of all pages other than the front page.
$7.00 on-campus, $16.00 off-campus

Package E - Top Inside Sidebar Box

One of the most popular spots on the site. Includes a 300x250 pixel box on the right side of the front page.

Package F - Middle Inside Sidebar Box

By popular demand, a second inside sidebar box, again above the fold. Includes a 300x250 pixel box on the right side of the front page.
